Our People

Our people are friendly, open, naturally inquisitive and genuinely interested in finding out more about your business. Our approach is to immerse ourselves in your challenges so that we can clearly recommend the most appropriate product or solution. We share a passion for pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved from data driven marketing, and a hunger to continually improve both ourselves, our products and our client results.

Torque's combined consultancy, marketing, analytical and marketing automation experience is, we believe, unrivalled in the Asia-Pacific region. Many of our team bring experience from overseas markets ensuring our clients gain exposure to the best of both local and international thinking (and equally importantly, doing).

Our Senior Leadership Team has been working successfully together for several years and, as Torque approaches it's 10th year in business, we're as excited now by the future as we were at the very beginning.

Tony Faure - Chairman

Tony Faure - Chairman

Tony was appointed Chairman of Torque in January 2010, having been a satisfied client of ours during his days as CEO at Homescreen. As a hands-on Chairman, ex-client, ex-CEO and now investor, Tony shares the Torque passion for taking customer data, uncovering the gold, presenting it clearly and then making things happen to drive profit for our clients.

He has been very actively involved in the growth of the Australian digital media industry since its earliest days, firstly as the founding MD of Yahoo! Australia & NZ, then as CEO of ninemsn and Homescreen, in addition to holding board roles at Seek, i-select and the Internet Industry Association.

As well as being our Chairman, Tony is also Chairman of Lasttix, non-executive Director of AiBM (publisher of Business Spectator and Eureka Report) and Chair of the Advisory Board of Livewire, a not for profit service which helps children with chronic illness connect with their peers online.

Oliver Rees - CEO

Oliver Rees - CEO

After a career which spanned commodity broking, travel and nearly a decade in direct marketing agencies, Olly founded Torque in 2001 with a vision to build the best data-driven marketing company in Australia.  As we approach 10 years in business, with a great team and a client-base that is Australia-wide and continually growing, it is doubtful that Olly's energy and drive will ever let him make the claim that the vision has been realised.

Olly remains as passionate as ever about delivering solutions for clients that are highly relevant, actionable and lead to increased customer and shareholder value and profit.
